Shooting an Elopement in Ronda, one of the most beautiful villages in Andalusia is always a pleasure, but if it´s an intimate wedding with only the bride, the groom and me, then it´s a delight.
Do you know what doing an elopement is? It means you run away with your lover to get married. I´m sure many of you have thought about it when you have realized how many wedding preparation you have to take care of in order to get married. Well this is what Ashley and Chad did, this charming and fun Canadian couple. They both love to travel and they thought it was a great idea to escape to another country and get married in an intimate wedding in Andalusia.
As this couple well knew in order to get married in Malaga you don’t need to wait for “the right season”, you can get married anytime in Malaga. as they did: they got married in Málaga in winter, a very good idea. Time is always good in the Costa del Sol and choosing Ronda as the scenario for their winter wedding in Malaga, we knew no one will bother us. Truth is it was a really great wedding to shoot and we spent an amazing day in Ronda, a bit cold of course but I loved shooting this rural wedding.
Bride and groom got ready for the wedding in a cosy apartment they have rented for the occasion. Once they were prepared we headed to the place where the ceremony was going to take place, in Ronda´s countryside with the town of Ronda as background, it couldn’t have been a more exotic and romantic place. The ceremony was officiated by Natasha, (Minister & Humanist Celebrant of Málaga.)
It was a quick and simple ceremony where the couple celebrated their love and made their vows in complete privacy. Then we went for a walk around this beautiful village in the Costa del Sol to shoot the couple wedding pictures. First, we walk through the countryside and by the river where we shoot beautiful pictures of the newlyweds, then we headed to Ronda´s old town.
They both were looking very sophisticated: he wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit and she chose a very simple and elegant dress with V-neckline.
So here, I leave you with pictures of this wedding in Ronda. I hope you like these photographs of an original and different wedding. The idea of getting married in such a romantic and bucolic setting accompanied only by your partner, the wedding officer and the photographer is an idea that every day attracts more people. The feeling of freedom and commitment to your partner is total. And the wedding photographs in the countryside resulted in a very fresh and natural photographs, just as they wanted.
As a wedding photographer in Malaga and Marbella, I must say that I love these original weddings specially when the scenario is as beautiful and rewarding as Ronda and its impressive cliffs.
