Intimate wedding in Nerja, Olivia + Gordon

The intimate wedding at the beach in Nerja I photographed a few weeks ago was a very special experience. Let me tell you.

The story of Olivia and Gordon is very peculiar. This Irish couple was traveling around Europe and they were so happy that decided to make a pitstop to get married in Malaga in an intimate ceremony by the sea.

For the big occasion they chose an amazing beach in Nerja, the one that is just below the famous Balcón de Europa. Nerja’s beaches are the most beautiful of Malaga. The ceremony was held by the sea at sunset, on the shore, with a very special light, the one you get just before sunset.

For their wedding in Nerja, the couple relied on the wedding planner Tucco Wedding and Event Planning, who was responsible for all the floral decoration, so beautiful! They were responsible for the entire arrangement of the set for this wedding at the beach and for making sure everything was perfect on this intimate wedding; and so it was!

The couple carried out their wedding preparations at Hotel Balcón de Europa and once they were ready we headed to the beach in Nerja to celebrate the wedding ceremony.

For this wedding at the beach there were no witnesses except for the Padre Peter who officiated the wedding, a fantastic violinist who provided the soundtrack to such an emotional time, the happy couple, of course and me to capture the essence of this special day.

The ceremony was lovely: intimate and personal. Olivia and Gordon exchanged vows, the rings and finally they said “I do” by the sea. They also performed a ritual with the beach sand that symbolize the indivisible union of their lives and the time they will spend  together.

Naiara Castillejo was the violinist in charge of the live music for this wedding. She is a specialist in music for weddings and events, her music made of this a magical and beautiful ceremony.

The bride chose for her big day a white dress with lace and a beautiful headband for her hair. The white and pink roses bouquet was spectacular, also thanks to Tucco Wedding and Event Planning. The groom wore a beige suit with a rose in his lapel.

After the ceremony the newlyweds made a toss and then we did their first pictures as husband and wife on the same beach. The sunset views at this time were ideal for a couple session at the beach.

When we finished the couple went to celebrate his new status with a romantic dinner in Nerja. The icing on the cake for this beautiful day.
