The Rustic Wedding in France I had the opportunity to work on last week was one of those genuine and different experiences. This lovely couple decided to get married in a private villa in France, specifically in a family house that belonged to the bride´s mother.
So, Victorine and Oronce, got married in a remote spot of the French department of Gers surrounded by sunflowers and accompanied by their closest friends. The venue they chose for the wedding celebration was her parents family home, a traditional Châteaux house. The bride got prepared with her closest friends in one of the rooms. For her very special day Victorine chose a lace and square neckline dress designed by Elsa Gary and an updo with braid for her hair. The bridal bouquet was made of flowers that were carefully selected from the large garden surrounding the villa where the bride got ready. Once the bride and groom were ready and before going to the church we shot some photos outside the house.
The wedding was held at the Church of Castet-Arrouy, a s XVI church part of the “Camino de Santiago Francés”. All the guests were very handsome and excited.
Once the wedding ceremony ended, the couple returned to the family house where the cocktail and dinner will take place. They chose an old Citroen car to drive them on that special day. On the way we stopped to take some of the wedding pictures of the couple taking advantage of the beautiful French countryside.
Among the many features of this wedding, I stay with the presence of orange, the favorite color of the bride and groom, and if you look is present in many places: the groom hat in the waistband of children in the details that adorn napkins and in at least one item of the main guests.
Among the many peculiarities of this wedding, the most remarkables were the presence of the orange color, bride and groom’s favorite, in all the special places. If you pay attention it´ s present in many places: in the groom hat, in the children´s waistband, in the details that adorn the napkins and in at least one of the items of the main guests.
The wedding planning and decoration was all done by the bride’s mother and it result in an spectacular display. During the cocktail, the homegrown champagne, the pate and the cold meat were the absolute protagonists along with the live show cooking of food and an Argentine tango trio that was responsible for playing the music at this original wedding. As the main meal they treat themselves to 4 wonderful pieces of carefully roasted pig. Another interesting fact is that the wedding tables were named by the parts of this animal.
After the dinner and the selection of cheese dessert , friends and family gave their emotional speeches and they proceeded to dance the night away, as it should be. Working as a destination wedding photographer is an amazing and very authentic experience. Do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested in me taking a plane anywhere!
