The wedding photographer in Gibraltar
I had the pleasure to shoot a few weeks ago was no doubts, different… Just Jaimee, Jason and me as a witness.
Do you know what doing an elopement or to elope means? It means you run away with your lover to get married. I´m sure many of you have thought about it when you have realized how many wedding preparation you have to take care of in order to get married. Well, this is what Jaimee and Jason, this lovely couple from Los Angeles did. They both travel to Gibraltar to celebrate their engagement by the sea.
For this special day, the bride got ready at The Rock Hotel, famous for its amazing views to the Gibraltar bay and the African continent. Jaimee chose a delightful wedding dress and a very colourful bouquet. Jason was waiting for her in his dark suit with a pink rose on his lapel.
When bride and groom were ready, they moved to the place they had chosen for this original ceremony: The Dell, a gorgeous spot inside Gibraltar´s botanical garden. It was a quick and intimate wedding where bride and groom exchange vows and the rings, then the witnesses signed the marriage certificate and we moved to the wedding photography shooting, doubtlessly the funniest part of this original wedding.
In the photographs you can see the newlywed taking “selfies” and pictures with their phones of the wedding ring and the ceremony. They couldn’t wait to tell everyone!
For the wedding pictures of the couple we used different sets: first we walked across the botanical garden, then we took the cable car to go to the famous “Peñon de Gibraltar” where we took very original pics with stunning views to the Gibraltar Bay and for the whole time we were surrounded by some very peculiar friends… It was made obvious what a funny and consistent couple they were.
Finally we walked to the Gibraltar lighthouse for a last batch of very original wedding photography. As a wedding photographer in Málaga and Marbella, I have to say that weddings are becoming funnier and more original every time, I love it!
I will be telling you my next adventure really soon! Stay tuned!
