Wedding Photographer in San Sebastian, Mel + Nick

Working as a wedding photographer in San Sebastian is always incredible.

On this occasion, I worked as wedding photographer for this couple from Australia that lives in London but decided to get married in San Sebastian, since they both have a very special relationship with this land in the north of Spain.

For their big day, Mel and Nick decided to celebrate an intimate wedding in San Sebastian. Only for them two. But let’s start with the beginning of this wedding elopement in San Sebastian.

The Iturregui Hotel was the place chosen by the couple to stay and to celebrate the wedding ceremony, a very nice hotel located in Getaria, just a few kilometers from San Sebastian. A spectacular place surrounded by nature and vineyards. The hotel is quite impressive as well, as the facade of the building consists of large windows that offer spectacular views of the lighthouse of Getaria and the coast of this romantic location. This is a place that inspires peace and tranquility, perfect for a rural wedding in Spain.

The day began with the bride and the groom getting ready in their rooms. For the big day, the groom went for a dark suit with a black tie: classic and elegant.

The bride chose a boho chic look: a white wedding dress with V-neckline and precious floral motifs from Spellbride. Her bare back and a floral wreath from Flowers & Co gave a very romantic touch to her wedding look.

Once ready, the couple, who knew they wanted to get married in the countryside surrounded by nature, held their wedding ceremony in the nature.  It was a very special and intimate wedding ceremony where bride and groom made their vows and exchanged alliances. And so, the happy couple said “I do” to each other in this beautiful spot in San Sebastian. After the ceremony we went for the wedding pictures of the newly weds, which we shot in selected spots around the hotel and in the beautiful forest that surrounded this romantic rural area of north of Spain.

To end this wedding photography session in the Basque Country we went to San Sebastian, where we took photos of the happy couple around the city: the port,  the old town… We got some lovely photos of the couple with some of the most beautiful and representative buildings from Donosti.
